Welcome to our first blog post! This is where I begin to connect with you and start pulling back the curtain on all things SkaiLive Events. It has been a little more than a year since the company started, and I am amazed at what has been accomplished. As the owner, my ambition was to create a scalable business that would offer top-notch live event services to Houston families, non-profit organizations, and corporations at reasonable prices. With more than 150 events completed across all these groups, I’m happy to say that this year one goal has been met and exceeded.
I’m grateful for my DJ mentors, colleagues, race directors, venue owners, parents, couples, and event coordinators for their support of my vision and brand. Without their trust, reviews, and referrals, none of this would be possible. You guys ROCK!
Now, let me give you a quick tour of this new website.
The homepage greets visitors with an overview of the business and myself, through words and pictures. They can also start connecting with us about their event by submitting a contact form.
The Services page lists descriptions of the variety of value-added services offered to meet our clients’ needs for holding unforgettable events.
The FAQ page aims to provide quick and thoughtful answers to many of the questions that clients ask prior to booking or during an event.
The blog is where I will share my candid thoughts on running the business, reveal success stories, interview partners and do product reviews.
Gratitude: Allow me 60 seconds to thank my web designer, Rachel Designs. She has been extremely patient while I produced the content needed to stand up the first iteration of my website. I am grateful for her insights, professional advice, and persistent nudges for outstanding items. I could not have done it without her help. When I first approached her, I somehow thought this would be an easy and quick slam dunk. Little did I know that wedding season, quince season, and grad season bookings would hit at the same time… AND that the newly added photo booth service would become very popular. Ms. Rachel, I hope I’m still on the Christmas list.
What to expect next?
Next month, I’ll share how we spoil couples with great service before and during their “Big Day.” I’ll take you from consultation to reception in 1000 words or less. Be sure to check back for my first post all about weddings.
